This is Inspiration.

After today, this day will be remembered in history for all time. And because of that I just thought I'd say something...

It has finally happened my friends. A change has begun in both history and in everyone's lives. This is now the time where you must take confidence in yourself for it is evident that if you dream big and work hard, then things will happen. Now is a time where our generation must prosper in life. Stop all the ignorance that is being spread among each other and start realizing that we need to live our lives the right way. Stop fighting one another and help each other. There was always the saying for things that "could never happen" or that "were not possible." But now those saying have gone out the window because of simply the fact that on this day, January 20th of the year 2009, the thing that was not possible, the one thing that could never happen, has just taken place. For we finally have not only the first African-American president in history, but someone who has inspired so many and even to this very second, continues to inspire and give others hope. Today, we can take this as a message that life can be hard, and there will be so many challenges in life that it may seem endless. But with a dream, and an effort, and persevereance, we can do anything. So as said by so many in this nation, and now is said by almost every person in this world, Yes we can... And yes we will.

Amen, well said Shiro. And when the history books are rewritten and our children and grandchildren study this day and this new era in American history, we can all take pride when we say "I was there. I saw Barack Obama do the impossible." He won the election in a near landslide, and we hope that he really does bring good, necessary Change to this wounded nation.

Sure, we all may not have the same opinions on the guy, we may think he'll be a bad president or whatever, so what. America's hit a landmark, and we have come so far in such a short time. The entire world looks at us with pride again, and we're on he way to restoring this nation's good name. I really do have hope for America again, as of today.

It might sound bad but...it is what it is.
First I'm glad Obama won, I'm glad that an important fragment of history was made yesterday.
People should praise him for being the first Black President. But what people should understand is that he can't change everything in a day. The change could possibly be slow. People just can't blindly follow a person because he's a legend. I'm not saying that he won't change anything,just making a statment.

And now that a black-man is president people will start to believe anything is possible. Not saying this is a bad thing to live by...but it's a bit unrealistic. Some things are beyond a person mind-set and sometimes physical abilities. I've never doubted in my mind that we'd recieve a black president. I mean black or white or even purple as person is a person and if his views are good...people will agree.
And it kinda ticks me off that people are so amazed that a black man is president. Did you not have faith within your own race?
That's just my two-cent in this topic.

Anyways, Aeon, you basically said part of what i just said. I was saying that you know, things are changing, and that things will not change on its own and that its up to people to either go hard or go home.
