as for me my tastes span a wide range, for me it's

rock

very little rap (i just find most of it to be the same thing very few rap artists strike me as creative)

Heavy metal (though not a whole lot..i don't know many metal bands)

anything foreign that sounds good
i.e. J Rock/pop, Dragostae din tae (better known as Numa Numa) and the sephiroth theme (which many people think is japanese but isn't. it's not Japanese people, it's Latin get it right)

I am not one for the jap music myself x3 never really got what was so grand about it.

to tell you the truth I didnt either, but when I looked up the lyrics I understood the message trying to be sung.

The fact that you have to look up lyrics just to enjoy a song seems rather dumb to me.

I know alot(and I mean ALOT) of people don't do this, but when I listen to japanese music, I also figure out or go find out the translation. the songs have good meaning that you can relate to in various situations or certain times in your llife. like one of those things that help you when your down or just to help get through the day. Japanese music is also catchy and sorta roles of the tougue when you sing with it.

I dont listen to anything without knowing what it means (very few exeptions) and most american music didnt catch my fancy. rap music is horrible to me, they all are about the same thing and its usually (forget it, I dont want to offend people).

and the fact that you say their favorite type of music is horrible wont be offensive at all XD

Japanese music also has nice back ground music that fits the words, and crazy cool music videos.

well looking up the lyrics is the fun part to me. im not really a guesser

I rather sing it in my head in japanese, look at the english lyrics at the same time. it fit in nicely.

nope seeing as i dont know japanese language(if its called that no offense asian pplz)id rather just not sing any japanese music id just hum or whistle
