RPG Chat: Star Ocean

((RPG Chat will be a topic where we will talk about the aforementioned title))

So I've been playing through Star Ocean:First Departure latley, it's pretty nice. It has hella Extra Characters. ((I've chosen all girls with the exception of Cyuss))
This sparked by interest in Star Ocean:Till the End of Time again.
Star Ocean is a solid series. So basically let's talk about it!

well iv played almost completely through "till the end of time" and have beat luther(the last boss)

Which after-game dungeon are you tackling first?

i dont know im still leveling my blade so far its a R12 laser weapon

earth humunculus
orichalcum
lunar talisman
and i think the rest is sapphire

lmao! Fuck Laser Weapons! Make your teams 3rd best weapons through Smithery and Maria's through Engineering

man hells no that shit is super expensive

fayt is raw as fuck and so is dimension door
damn i wish i had that attack in the rpg

Fayt has been my favorite since I can last remember. His character is well developed in my opinion and I like his character design.

same here but
i still like him mostly because of dimension door
and air raid but mostly dimension door

I combo either Side Kick into Air Raid
Blade of Fury into Air Raid
Shotgun Blast into Air Raid or Charge into Air Raid. Air Raid is just beastly. My Favorite attack of the game.

and explosion dimension door
and explosion
though explosion is a symbology

Stone Rain and Deep Freeze are better in my opinion.

i just dropped more then a million dallors on my fucking blade i sit there for the longest trying to put my R5 holy blade with the laser weapon and now im broke as fuck and the best part about it as they did a"the line is unable to finish"shit on me

i laugh at you. cause i got hella money and hella weapons..you will never catch up with me. beat the game with a weak ass team and i was on;ly lv...not sure under a hundred by a long shot. zeik for the win.(that was to ryo not aeon)

Yea but on Galaxy mode ((Normal mode)) you should be beating the game around high 50 to mid 60s something like that. But on Universe and 4D mode you need to be ALOT higher. You basically have to start using the workshop ASAP.

Ethereal Blast is beastly ass hell. I used to equip Gutsy Gunny and just kill weak monster alone with Fayt to get hella expierence.

Alright Double Slash of Fury is a beastly attack as well. Most of their Ultimate Moves are pretty nice.

I can't wait till the Last Hope comes out. I'd just buy the game before I get the system.
I already know who my favortie Character is. lol His name is Fayze. His JPN voice actor is girl....but I'm sure that'll change when he gets his English VA ((hopefully Steve Staley))

I don't really like the main characters design though...kinda seems sloppy?

to beat the game

albel and cliff

Fayt, Albel and Cliff? That's a reckless team. Teams like that won't last that long on Universe End-game dungeons and 4D mode unless your just a beastly player.

Although Fayt has high Defense, the spells of the Secret bosses are kinda killer
Cliff high HP, drains most of them with his Battle Skills
and Albel high Attack and Speed- but his defense isn't the best.

My parties to beat the game were
Fayt, Albel, Sophia
OR
Fayt, Albel, Maria
OR ((who I think your supposed to beat the game with based on story))
Fay,Maria, Sophia

where is there use in peppita and roger

Gotcha!

Peppita is neccessary for a couple Battle Trophies.
Also her dances can be rather usefull when low on items or a healer.
MP Dance is one of my favorites. Panic Dance has the slight ability confuse enemies

Roger always you to take on a few side-quest to get stat increasing berries.

I must say that I am rather disappoint in Star Ocean Till the End of Time because of it's lack of recruitable characters. Star Ocean TTEOT only has 4
while Star Ocean First Departure has 9.

iv never played first departure but i heard it was nice
im also going to go train with peppita and look up ways to do something with those books i got from roger
